You want more clients, right?

What do clients want?

  • They want to know that you understand their problems,
  • They want to know that you know how to solve those issues,
  • They want to know that you are listening to them,
  • They want you to be responsive,
  • They want you to communicate with them clearly,
  • They want to be billed fairly,
  • They want to like you, and
  • They want to know that you respect them.

But most importantly, they want peace of mind.

No one wakes up in the morning thinking “Hmmm, I think I’ll hire a lawyer just for the fun of it.”

Clients are coming to you because they have an issue which is keeping them up at night.  Whether it’s a business issue or a personal one, it is an issue that only an attorney can solve and that’s why they have come to you in the first place.

However, if you look at the above list, there is one thing that is truly clear – it’s not about you!  Clients want to know what’s in it for them.
